Lukas for 28 years; Loving mother of Jacqueline (Nicklas) Smith, Michael Czyznikiewicz, and Jonathan Lukas; Proud grandmother of Dahlia Czyznikiewicz and Dylan Smith; Special Godmother of Rachel Grand and Patrick Chuckas; Dear sister of the late Joyce Duffy, Noreen (Guild) Copeland, the late Robert (Kaureen) Duffy, Mary Ellen Duffy, Kevin (Peggy) Duffy, Kelly McElheny, Tim (Mindy) Duffy, twin sister Jamie (Dan) Grand, Jim Duffy, Michael (Linda) McElheny and Theresa (the late Tom) McGuire; Preceded in death by her parents John and Judith McElheny (nee Smith) and Joseph Duffy; Fond aunt of many loving nieces and nephews and a friend to many; A proud Irish girl, tough as nails, soft as a kitten and a force to be reckoned with. She wore a wonderful smile and had a fun heart. She was in the national book of who’s who for high school grads and was a proud member of Local 134 as a pari-mutuel clerk for over 30 years. Judy’s garden was on the Blue Island Garden Walk and she wrote a gardening column for the Blue Island newspaper. She managed little league baseball, was a Cub Scout mom, volunteered at school events and loved to play with all the kids. A beautiful woman, who spoke her mind, showed no fear and loved her children dearly. She will be deeply missed. We know she will be busy for a while visiting with all her family and friends in Heaven.
